Previous Winner Spotlight: Brazilian Street Girls by Leticia Valverdes

Leticia Valverdes on winning the IPPG in 1999:
’At the time the possibility of being published by the Sunday Times Magazine was one of the wonderful prizes given by the award. The other was a new camera by Nikon and in my case this was the first camera I owned as I had done the whole winning series in Brazil with a borrowed very cheap camera from my photography department at Uni. So, the winning series on Brazilian Street Girls became a book which is still around and a travelling exhibition.’

Cuttings from a recent interview featuring the project that won Leticia the award.
