“I have been the Patron of the Ian Parry Scholarship for over 30 years and it has been so rewarding to see such young talent being recognised and supported at the very beginning of their careers”
Sir Don McCullin, Patron and Trustee
We are delighted to announce that our inaugural auction raised some £200,000.00, a remarkable achievement that will enable the scholarship to continue its support of young emerging photojournalists for many years to come.
This was a tremendous effort by our board member Harriet Logan, her team at Incite especially Tristan Lund, the staff at Phillips London, especially Rachel Peart Head of the Photographs Department, the team at Artsy.net., Canon U.K and Metro Imaging.
Further thanks to our friends and supporters Emma Blau, Carol Allen Storey, Rebecca McClelland, Julie Bonzon, Tara Roswe and Olivia Kennaway.
Our sincere thanks to the photographers who so kindly donated their images and to all of the people who bid via Phillips or Artsy.com.
With kind regards and thanks to all,

“Winning the Ian Parry scholarship meant a lot to me. With many awards I have the feeling they are mainly to advertise their own products and interests. They might be great in terms of publicity and prize money. While the Ian Parry scholarship is much more than this. I felt warmly welcome to the extended Ian Parry family. The people behind the award are very committed, warm hearted and truly supportive. “
Nanna Heitmann, 2019 Sunday Times Award for Achievement
“The listening and sharing of experiences from the professionals gave me a greater perspective about the photography industry. In-fact, everything with Ian Parry has helped me to know more on how to shape my career, and it was a truly a happiness to meet Sir Don McCullin and Tom Stoddart”
Farzana Hossen, 2013 Winner
